Rescue Mother and Child Afghanistan

Welcome to the Rescue Mother and Child Afghanistan Foundation (RMCA).
Every two hours, a mother dies from preventable complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. We support the renovation and reopening of healthcare centers around Kabul and develop training programs focused on maternity care and early childhood healthcare.

Since 8 December 2024, one medical clinic has been operating in Wardak, featuring a delivery room and staffed by five medical professionals. Women from the surrounding region can receive maternity and perinatal care for both mother and child at our clinic โ€” care that can be lifesaving. In addition to midwifery services, the clinic provides medical care by a general practitioner, a vaccination program for children under the age of five, nutritional support for malnourished children, and a mental health consultation service. We employ three women, and the clinic welcomes over 100 patients daily.

Our goal is to open more medical clinics to reach even more women and children. This is only possible with your support. Through your recurring donations, we fund medical staff in Afghanistan as well as essential supplies and medical equipment needed to keep the clinics operational.

Our impact in December 2025

In December 2025, Bahadar Khil Clinic in Wardak provided essential healthcare services to vulnerable families. Key figures for December:

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ 1,800 outpatient consultations (1,391 adults, 409 children under 5)
๐Ÿคฐ 65 antenatal care visits
๐Ÿ‘ถ 9 safe deliveries at the clinic
๐Ÿคฑ 21 postnatal care visits
๐Ÿ’‰ 100 tetanus/diphtheria vaccinations
๐Ÿ“Š 341 children under 5 screened for nutrition and growth

In addition, our nurse completed specialized training in the management of malnutrition. She received her certificate and now strengthens the treatment and follow-up of vulnerable children with enhanced expertise โ€” a direct investment in sustainable impact.

With gratitude, we reflect on what we achieved together in 2025 and share inspiring stories, impact figures, and our outlook for 2026. These results are only possible thanks to your financial support. Additional funding is urgently needed to ensure medicines, winter supplies, and healthcare services in hard-to-reach areas.
